"The Order of Christian Funerals" is the revised rite approved by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England, Wales and Scotland for use at funeral services in the Roman Catholic Church. It is the culmination of a long process of revision and new composition based on many years' experience of the 1969 "Ordo Exsequiarum" and its English editions. This Rite will be mandatory from Easter Sunday 1991.
